Overview
Explore Mumbai’s legendary thieves’ market filled with antiques, vintage items, collectibles, and hidden treasures. Chor Bazaar is one of Mumbai’s oldest and most famous flea markets, located near Grant Road on Mutton Street. Over 150 years old, its name literally means “Thieves Market,” though it was originally called “Shor Bazaar” because of how noisy it was — the British mispronounced it as “Chor” and the name stuck. The market is a maze of narrow lanes packed with shops selling antiques, vintage Bollywood posters, old cameras, gramophones, clocks, rare coins, and car spare parts that you won’t find anywhere else.
