Overview
A Tiger Safari is a wildlife tour focused only on seeing tigers in natural or semi-natural habitat. Routes and timings are planned around tiger movement and waterholes, unlike general safaris. It’s done in open gypsys or canters in reserves like Tadoba, Pench, or Ranthambore. Sightings aren’t guaranteed, but guides use pugmarks and calls to track tigers. Morning and evening slots run for 3–4 hours when tigers are active. It follows strict NTCA rules with limited vehicles and fixed paths. No one can get down during the safari for safety. It’s part of Project Tiger for conservation and eco-tourism. Advance online booking with ID proof is needed. So, a tiger safari is a specialized activity inside a Tiger Reserve or National Park.
